Structural Engineer - Derby

Emtech Recruitment is working with a well-established, award-winning consulting engineering practice to recruit a Structural Engineer for their office in Derby.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of projects and responsibilities, including:

Undertaking design work, inspections, and providing construction site support on major infrastructure projects
Carrying out concept and feasibility studies for multidisciplinary design schemes
Performing analysis and design using software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, and TEDDS, alongside hand calculations
Preparing design calculations, CDM documentation, Basis of Design reports, and material specifications
Supporting and collaborating with Senior Structural Engineers

Requirements

Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
Strong technical design experience using British Standards and Eurocodes
Proven ability to produce clear and accurate design and calculation documentation
Experience designing in reinforced concrete and steel
Working knowledge of BIM software and processes
