The Opportunity
As a Senior Bid Manager, you will lead and manage complex bid and proposal activities, working with cross?functional subject matter experts to deliver high?quality submissions across varied projects. You will ensure all deliverables meet client requirements, contractual expectations, internal governance, and industry standards while supporting value, risk management, and commercial success throughout the bid lifecycle.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
Lead end?to?end bid management across multiple concurrent opportunities, ensuring delivery to cost, quality, and schedule
Manage numerous bids simultaneously, prioritising volume over scale
Apply Shipley best?practice methodologies including planning, governance, reviews, and compliance
Operate effectively within a structured lifecycle bid process, maintaining strong governance and audit trails
Develop and manage bid schedules, resources, and review cycles
Coordinate inputs from engineering, commercial, finance, legal, and supply?chain teams
Ensure compliance with customer requirements and internal governance
Identify, track, and manage bid risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating when appropriate

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
Proven ability to deliver complex proposals under tight timescales
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including communication, delegation, and motivation
Strong analytical skills; able to challenge the team to achieve best value
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex issues and solutions
Critical thinking and problem?solving ability
Effective stakeholder management
It's great if you also have the following
Demonstrable experience as a Senior Bid Manager delivering multiple concurrent bids in a Shipley?based environment
