I am currently recruiting a health and safety manager or health and safety advisor to join a very busy retail company looking to double in size over the next few years.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating, supporting and advise the business on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety over 15 (and increasing) sites across the UK

The role is offered with a salary up to £45K for a manager, and £38K for an advisor, for a 40 hour week.

Based in Newport, you will be required to visit the sites across the business to do the following

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
Provide comprehensive safety training to employees
Investigate and report incidents and accidents
Collaborate with department heads to maintain a secure working environment

To be successful you will need the following attributes:

Minimum 3 years of recent and relevant experience in health and safety management
NEBOSH (General Certificate) qualified or equivalent accreditation
NEBOSH National Fire Certificate Fire Safety & Fire Safety Management
COSHH Trained
Experience in implementing and monitoring Fire Risk Assessments
Proven expertise in advising managers/supervisors, handling H&S investigations, and
delivering training
Strong knowledge of formulating, implementing, and revising H&S policies and procedures
Up-to-date understanding of Health and Safety laws and regulations
