Fire and Security Engineer

Salary: £12-14.50 per hour (Depending on experience) plus Benefits: 33 days paid annual leave, Company Pension, Free Life Assurance, Training and Development, Discounted Private Health Care Scheme, Discounted Gym Membership, Uniform provided and, opportunity to work overtime.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a pro-active Multi-Disciplined Fire and Security Engineer team player.

Reporting to the Fire and Security Project Supervisor you will be responsible for undertaking various pre-planned and reactive maintenance tasks and installation work.


Working as part of the Fire & Security Mobile Engineering Team, as one of the Fire and Security Multi-disciplined Engineers, you will be responsible for:

Completion of pre-planned maintenance to varying Fire and Security Systems.
Complete remedial repairs as required encompassing either, Fire, Intruder Alarm, CCTV, or Access Control systems.
Completion of Installation Works to varying Fire and Security Systems when required.
Provision of exceptional maintenance services to their high-profile clients and deliver high-quality standards in your performance.
Specific tasks and objectives as directed at regular intervals.
Installation of their wide range of fire and security products.
Undertake training and development to further your skills knowledge and experience.
Participate in the Company's on call Rota.
Carry out job tasks as instructed by the supervisor and management.

Technical Competencies:

City and Guilds or equivalent (NVQ Level 3) in installation of electrical/electronic equipment.
Demonstrate at least 3 years previous relevant experience in a Fire and Security role gained within the last 5 years.
Demonstrate sound knowledge of installation practices in both Fire and Security disciplines.
Demonstrate knowledge of Fire standards BS5839-1:2017, BS6266:2011, BS7273 and Security standards BS4737, PD6662 and DD243.
Full UK Driver's License.

Desirable Skills:

Working knowledge of any of the following fire panels would be an advantage: C-Tec, GENT, Advanced, Notifier, Kentec, Fike.
Qualification in either/all FIA Unit 1,4 & 5.
Knowledge of any of the following Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and Intercom using a range of equipment including: Galaxy, Paxton, CEM, InnerRange, Panasonic, Samsung, Videcon, Commend, Comelit, Videx.
