Our client provides high quality professional HR, Employment Law and Health and Safety advice, training and technology to UK employers. They support 17,500 UK employers including well-known brands such as Peter Jones' group of companies, Cranswick plc, Pure Gym, Holland and Barrett and Charles Tyrwhitt. They employ 200 colleagues across North West England, Scotland and from home.

You will join a successful sales team, taking responsibility for our client's growth in nominated UK regions. Supported by a well-resourced Marketing and Lead Generation team, our Regional Business Directors engage business owners and leaders with an outsourced HR, Employment Law and Health Safety proposition - insured advice and on-line platforms designed to ensure that businesses are not exposed to complex employee relations and compliance issues.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, energetic and commercially aware. They will be confident and competent in selling to business owners and senior leaders in the SME segment, ideally with a business support service. They will be expected to generate their own leads; networking locally, developing strong working relationships with our clients established partners and seeking referrals from existing clients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. To develop, implement and succeed with a business strategy to target suitable regional prospects for our client

2. Work closely with the Marketing and Lead Generation team (MLG) to design and deliver both sector and job role focussed marketing efforts

3. Effectively manage a pipeline of clients through our CRM tool (Salesforce)

4. Develop and maintain a direct approach to prospective clients

5. Report weekly / monthly on activity levels and success

6. Attend seminars and events as required to further the efforts of our client into the Corporate space

7. Updating and development of materials to support the sales process

8. Working with Service Delivery colleagues to develop solutions that work with our internal business practices to deliver a brilliant service to our clients

9. Partner with other sales team members to share best practice and learnings to achieve the overall team performance targets.

Key Skills and Experience

1. Extensive experience in selling to Business Owners, Directors and Senior Leaders in the SME sector (10-250 staff).

2. A demonstrable background of opening new opportunities through a number of channels such as industry events, networking events, LinkedIn (Sales Navigator),

3. Advanced Microsoft Word and Power Point.

4. Likely degree educated (or similar) with a proven track record of extensive experience in B2B sales

5. Industry experience would be a distinct benefit but not a pre-requisite for this role

6. Proven use of sales methodology and sales process that has driven consistent periods of success
