Job Summary

UK Care and Nursing are recruiting a Deputy Nursing Home Manager for our Nursing and Residential Home client within the Leicester area. Our client has numerous Homes throughout the UK and are currently recruiting in one of their homes Leicester. The successful candidate will act as Deputy Nursing Home Manager supporting the Registered Manager. You must be able to demonstrate effective leadership and clinical management within the care industry. You will work within a nursing home specialising in general & nursing in addition to residential and respite care for the elderly. You will be responsible for assisting with the management of staff, resources and will promote best practices in all aspects of your role.

Job Role

Our Deputy Manager will:-

Act as Deputy Manager for CQC registration purposes
Engage with service users
Work within the Senior Management team
Be responsible for all clinical services, ensuring excellent standards of nursing care are provided.
Promote ownership of care programs and converse with service users and their families
Ensure that patients receive a high-quality service
Have a proven track record of successfully marketing a home
Effectively manage staff and resources
Ensuring staff feel valued and able to contribute to the development of the Home.
Ensuring Operations efficiency and occupancy optimum.
Developing and building on contacts with regulators and contractors.

Education, Skills and qualifications

Our Deputy Manager will have the following:-

Have experience in a senior managerial position
Previous Nursing experience
An active NMC pin
Have experience in staff management duties such as interviewing and appraising/performance management
Have a strong working knowledge of relevant codes of conduct and guidelines, The Care Standards Act and CQC requirements
Have a good understanding of Quality Assurance tools
Be financially aware with good budget management skills
