Amber Mace is currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to work within an independent mental health hospital specialising in the care of men with chronic mental health needs. The service current has a Good' CQC rating is set within beautiful grounds located in Northampton, and my client paying an excellent salary of up to £36K for the right candidate!

As Deputy Manager, you will work and support the Unit Manager in ensuring effective management of the service provided within the clinical area. You will be a strong authoritative presence and be able to support the team at a supervisory level. You will ideally come from a similar environment at a senior level and hold a valid nursing PIN.

Whilst the role is based predominately within this independent hospital, you may be required to work in other sites within Northampton as required.

The Role of Deputy Manager:

• To support the Manager in ensuring that the resources for the Unit are utilised appropriately

• Implement relevant Company & Unit Policies and Procedures.

• Ensure accurate care records are kept and incidents/accidents are reported in accordance to the company policy

• Promote and maintain a high standard of clinical supervision and services

• To ensure effective induction of all staff, together with supervision of trained staff, as well as providing mentorship, assessment and induction of new care staff

• Conform to the latest guidelines and maintain the highest levels of care governance whilst regularly auditing practices and procedures

Skills/ Qualifications required of the Deputy Manager:

• Valid NMC PIN

• Understanding of CQC regulations

• Experience at a supervisory level in a similar care environment

• Ability to supervise and lead a clinical team

• Full Driving License and happy to travel as required
