Payroll Administrator (Part-time) | £30,000-£35,000 pro rata | Burnley | Great team and working culture | Fantastic benefits Axon Moore are pleased to be working in partnership with a highly valued client in Burnley as they recruit for an experienced Payroll specialist on a part-time basis. This is a flexible and accommodating role which can be completed over 2 or 3 days per week in the office. This role will be well suited to experienced payroll administrators who are seeking to achieve a more favourable work/life balance.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:- Collating monthly payroll data for circa 250 staff
- Resolving internal/external queries
- Reconciling payroll entries
- Ensure compliance with statutory benchmarks
- Calculating maternity/paternity pay
- Processing new starters and staff departures
- Administration of company benefits, overtime, commissions, etc.
- Maintenance of accurate employee records
- Reporting of pension data to scheme advisors
- Other ad-hoc duties
Required Skills and Experience:- At least 2 years’ payroll experience
- Able to efficiently manage and organise their workload
- Microsoft Excel and Sage proficient
- Professionalism and confidentiality
- Keeping up to date with payroll practices and legislation
- A good understanding of PAYE, NI, RTI SMP, SSP and other HMRC statutory regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated in nature
- Able to work efficiently towards deadlines
