Package Description: The Junior School are currently recruiting for After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager to join the ePlus department on a temporary basis until August 2026. The position is available immediately (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). Hours of work will be between 1.30pm and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday during term time and on a rota basis (26.25 hours) during holiday periods. A degree of flexibility is required in this role. After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager will be placed on the ESMS Support Staff Salary Scales within the range of point 25 - 28 which is equivalent to a range of £20,207 to £22,205 pro-rated per annum. Remuneration is dependant on skills and experience. The postholder will be based at the Queensferry Road site during term time and will be based at the Ravelston site during Holiday period.
The purpose of the After School and Holiday Club Deputy Manager role is to lead an effective and motivated team to deliver high quality out of school care which meets the needs of the children and their families. Key duties include providing support to the Practitioner on a daily basis and evaluate the provision on a weekly basis. The role also involves ensuring a consistent approach is taken throughout the provision as well supporting children and staff and being included in staff ratios on the floor.
The successful candidate will be a kind, enthusiastic, and responsible individual who prioritises the interests of children and works well within a team. They will have experience working with children, possess a recognised childcare qualification, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
