Fabric Engineer | Commercial Reactive Maintenance | London & Surrounding Areas | £38-40k Base | £55-65K estimated earnings + company package | Paid Weekly.

Due to increased work load we are seeking a Fabric Engineer / Maintenance Multi Trader to join our team based in/around the London region. You will be working on a mobile basis, attending commercial properties to attend reactive maintenance call outs and remedial works. This is a full time, permanent role, paid on a weekly basis (1 week in hand).

Role Summary:

* Job Title: Fabric Engineer

* Base Salary: £38,000 - £40,000

* Estimated annual earnings: £55,000 - £65,000

* Status: Permanent, PAYE - Paid Weekly.

* Location: Central London, Greater London, Surrounding Home Counties (dependant on home address location).

* Environments: Commercial - gyms, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores etc.

* Hours: Monday - Friday: 08:30am - 5:30pm contracted. realistic day would be arriving to your first job for 08:30am and leaving your last job at 4:30pm.

* Works: Highly Reactive nature - building maintenance including carpentry, plumbing and general property maintenance duties (further detailed below).

* Paid overtime available: X1.5 Rate until midnight Monday to Saturday. X2 Rate Overnight Monday to Saturday or anytime Sundays and Bank Holidays.

* Call out rota: 1 in 4 weeks. £75 per call out. call out fee covers travel time and first hour on-site, following this you will be paid additional overtime pay. Average of 10 call outs per week on-call, minimum additional earning of £10,000 per annum.

Works / Duties: As a Fabric Engineer, your expected works / duties will be as follows:

* Patch repairs - walls, ceilings, doors, tiles, minor surface works.

* Painting & decorating - emulsion, gloss, stain-block touch-ups (small-scale).

* Basic carpentry - doors, locks, handles, general timber repairs, fixtures and fittings, door closing systems.

* Minor plumbing - leaking taps, blockages, toilet seat and flush repairs, re-sealing sinks/showers/urinals.

* Ceiling tile replacement - grid ceiling tile refits and grid frame adjustments.

* Ceiling / roofing - leak detection, leak repair, leak prevention.

* Furniture repairs/assembly - fixing or assembling commercial furniture and fittings.

* Tiling repairs - wall or floor tile re-fits or re grouting.

* Boarding up - secure broken doors/windows or damaged areas to make safe.

* General building fabric works - fitting signs, noticeboards, dispensers, and protection items.

More specialist works if you are capable / comfortable with doing so; ie: removing / fitting pipework (plumbing), joinery work, glass fitting etc.

Requirements:

To be considered for a role as a Fabric Engineer with this business, here is the following criteria that we expect you to meet:

Essential:

* Strong skillset across multiple trade disciplines as listed above. We expect you to be confident working independently on the majority of listed duties.

* Comfortable working solely on a reactive basis within a fast paced environment.

* Driving license with under 9 points.

Desirable but not essential:

* City and Guilds or NVQ qualification in a trade discipline (plumbing, carpentry, painting and decorating, tiling or similar/equivalent).

* Maintenance experience within commercial environments.

* Strong base trade experience with skillset beyond "basic" duties in either Carpentry or Plumbing.
