Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker looking for a stable, long‑term role with great development opportunities? Our client, a well‑established UK manufacturer, is expanding their production team and seeking a skilled professional to join them at their modern facility in Staplehurst.
About the role:
You'll be working within a well‑equipped production environment, contributing to the fabrication and finishing of precision metal components to customer specifications. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high‑quality work and enjoys being part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
Key responsibilities:
• Fabricating, forming, bending and finishing fine‑limit sheet metal
• Working on engineered assemblies using both fabricated and machined components
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Deburring, drilling and general metal preparation
• Participating in spot welding tasks when required
• Producing parts to specification and quality standards
• Supporting production output in a clean, organised and safety‑focused workshop
Essential skills & experience:
• Strong background in fine‑limit sheet metal work
• Competent in fabrication techniques and working from engineering drawings
• Skilled in drilling, deburring and spot welding
• Experience working within an ISO9001 environment
• TIG welding is beneficial but not essential
Desirable experience:
• LVD CNC press‑brake
• Power rollers
• Power guillotines
