Shift Pattern: AM Starts - Monday to Friday, 07:00 Start
Pay Rate: From £15.00 per hour (£16.81 including holiday pay)

About the Role

JDR Recruitment are actively recruiting HGV C, Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Wigston, Leicestershire.

Our client is a truly independent merchant, known for delivering outstanding service and offering competitively priced products. With multiple depots across the East Midlands and a highly knowledgeable team, they are committed to customer satisfaction and timely deliveries.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Class 2 drivers to join a well-established and growing business. The role involves local and regional multi-drop deliveries, so a customer-focused attitude is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle safely and in line with all regulations

* Complete timely and accurate deliveries across the East Midlands

* Conduct pre- and post-journey vehicle checks

* Ensure goods are handled and delivered safely and securely

* Provide excellent customer service at each delivery point

* Assist with loading/unloading if required

* Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation

Requirements

* Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence with a minimum of 1 year's experience

* Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card

* Maximum of 6 penalty points (No DR or IN codes)

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent customer service approach

* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
