Main contractor / remediation works specialist is seeking an Technical Manager to join their team ahead of a busy pipeline of projects in London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door with a business who are growing at a fast yet sustainable rate and can therefore offer fast progression. There is 10+ projects starting in the next 4 months and the client needs someone who can hit the ground running.

We are looking for a Technical Manager to oversee remediation projects across their residential portfolio. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with building safety regulations and involves managing technical aspects of fire safety and remediation schemes.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on affordable housing and fire remediation projects. You'll be working closely with the design director with the opportunity to progress into a principal design manager role.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Technical Coordination: Leading the design process, reviewing construction details, and coordinating external consultants like fire engineers and structural engineers.

- Compliance & Inspection: Ensuring all remedial works (fire stopping, cavity barriers, fire boarding) meet safety standards, such as the BS 476 / BS EN 1366 series.

- Project Management: Overseeing projects from mobilisation to completion, including managing site budgets and timelines.

- Remediation Scope: Managing the removal and replacement of dangerous cladding, installing fire-resistant barriers, and upgrading fire doors.
