Regional Service Manager - South

We are currently recruiting for a regional service manager who will be responsible for the Southern region. This role can be based anywhere in the South of the UK providing the candidate is in a commutable distance from one of the following locations: Great Yarmouth, Port Talbot, Swindon, Sutton, Bedford, Fareham, Plymouth

Key duties and responsibilities

* Full leadership and management responsibility for depots in area of responsibility

* Planning and management of all depot activity and resources

* Fleet planning

* Project management for delegated projects

* Provision of technical support (directly and indirectly)

* Continuous development of quality procedures and strict monitoring to ensure compliance

* Sales team support

* Customer support

* To ensure all repair and service requirements are planned and executed in a timely manner

* Develop, promote and ensure strict compliance with all health and safety activities

* Staff education and development

* Continuous improvement

* Full Health and Safety responsibility for country depots

* Any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager


* Supervisory management qualifications would be beneficial

* Good IT literacy including use of word-processing, spread sheets, databases and e-mail. Ideally Intermediate Word and Excel trained

* Significant experience in a similar role and industry

* Technical background

* Financial and commercial awareness

* Well-developed interpersonal and negotiating skills, including clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, preferably in Scandinavian and English languages

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload, and to supervise work of others to ensure deadlines are met.

* Flexibility to adapt to changing demands and priorities

* Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team

* Previous management and engineering experience within a dynamic and fast moving environment

* Well presented, professional, discrete and confidential

* Self-motivated and self-confident
