Reed Education is dedicated to providing Whole School Recruitment to Secondary Schools across Wyre & Fylde, Cumbria & Lancashire. We are currently seeking a dynamic Full-Time English Teacher to join a school in Wyre & Fylde starting in September. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Deliver engaging and informative English lessons to students at KS3 and KS4 levels; teaching KS5 is an advantage.
  • Utilise strong subject knowledge to enhance student learning and meet curriculum standards.
  • Maintain effective classroom management skills.
  • Demonstrate reliability and commitment to student development.
  • Serve as a good role model to students, embodying qualities of compassion, trustworthiness, politeness, and good listening skills.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4; experience at KS5 is beneficial.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with robust subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to be trustworthy, punctual, patient, and confident when working with children.
