HR Coordinator

Reporting to: HRBP

Location: Wilton - Teesside

Salary: Negotiable - Whilst all salaries are graded, Sembcorp are keen to attract, retain and develop the highest calibre of colleague. The company also offer a market leading benefits package and annual bonus.

Purpose of Role

To provide administrative support and efficiency to the HR team.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment

Assisting with job postings, advertising vacancies, and sourcing candidates.

Coordinating with line managers to arrange interviews and prepare interview packs.

Processing applications, including acknowledging, rejection letters, and setting up interview schedules.

Ensuring proper legal and ethical practices during recruitment.

Onboarding:

Preparing new hire paperwork, including offer letters and employment contracts.

Facilitating onboarding processes for new employees.

Updating HR records & Timesheets with new hire information.

Facilitating background checks.

Work with Occupational Health for Pre-employment assessments.

Conduction HR inductions

Book in mid-point and end-point probation reviews

Employee Records:

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.

Ensuring compliance with legal and company policies regarding data privacy.

HR Support:

Provide assistance to employees on HR-related matters, such as benefits, policies & procedures, timesheets.

Serving as a first point of contact for employee inquiries.

Sending standard letters

Ensure organization chart is up to date

Respond to employment reference requests

Minute Employee Representative meetings

Minutes disciplinary and grievance hearings

Other Duties:

Assist with payroll processes where required.

Administer benefits programs if required.

Support performance management processes.

Coordinate meetings and training sessions.

Prepare reports on HR department activities.

Creating documents i.e. job descriptions, spreadsheets, databases or PowerPoint slides

Assist with HR Projects

Qualification, Skills and Experience

CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience

Accuracy and attention to detail

Motivated to improve effectiveness and efficiencies

Personable with good communication and customer service skills

Good grammar and numerical skills

Good organisation and time managements skills

Ability to manage own workload

Collaboration and teamwork

Confidentiality and discretion

Excellent Microsoft office skills
