Jackson Hogg is currently recruiting for a Deputy Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in running a busy e-commerce distribution centre.

Role Overview:

As Deputy Warehouse Manager, you’ll be second-in-command, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing staff, and ensuring smooth workflow across inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns. You’ll play a key role in maintaining high service levels, operational efficiency, stock accuracy, and health & safety standards.

Shift Pattern:

4 days per week, Saturday always off.

Days off come in pairs and rotate weekly:

Week 1: Sun & Mon off

Week 2: Tue & Wed off

Week 3: Thu & Fri off

Midweek shifts: 12 hours (including break)

Sunday shifts: 7.5 hours (including break)

Pattern repeats every 3 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet KPIs and SLAs.
  • Support workflow planning in line with sales demand and peak periods.
  • Monitor and improve order accuracy, dispatch speed, and overall productivity.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data and operational insights.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, cleanliness, and organisation.
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven warehouse leadership experience in e-commerce, retail, or 3PL.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse processes, WMS, and best practices.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-volume operations.
  • Excellent people management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work peak periods, including evenings and Sundays.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and manual handling (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable).
