We are representing our client, a global leader in industrial tools and assembly solutions, in their search for an experienced Service Manager / Service Operations Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality service solutions to world-class manufacturers across the automotive, aviation, and aligned engineering industries.

About the Role:

As Head of Service, you will be responsible for leading and optimising service operations across the UK & Ireland. Working closely with a team of Service Supervisors, Team Leaders, and Service Engineers, you will drive efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction—ensuring the company remains the partner of choice for cutting-edge tooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and lead high-performing service teams through coaching, training, and certification programmes.

• Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, measured through regular feedback and surveys.

• Plan and manage the service operations budget, ensuring cost efficiency while supporting growth objectives.

• Lead business development efforts to drive service-related growth and opportunities.

• Maintain strong relationships with key contracted customers, identifying their evolving needs and implementing solutions.

• Optimise service networks (field and workshop) to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.

• Standardise and enhance service workflows to deliver best-in-class support.

• Set and manage operational KPIs, ensuring targets are met and consistently improved.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in sales, projects, and product development to align strategies.

• Ensure all warranty issues and product quality concerns are managed effectively in line with company procedures.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in service operations or planning at a senior level

• Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and influence

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting

• Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland
