Reporting to the Planner Manager

Based in: Based in Wilton

Position overview:

Working as part of the Maintenance Team, the Instrumentation or Mechanical Planner will be responsible for planning of Maintenance activities. To be implemented in way to ensure best use of resources available, legal compliance and the desired safety, quality, and rate for the Asset Management Business. Take ownership of all the Instrumentation or Mechanical assigned External Vendor works.

Key responsibilities

* Positively encourage a culture of safety first.

* Apply the EHS principles in the framework of the maintenance program.

* Review work orders to determine if work order is acceptable

* Determine if an archived plan exists and is acceptable

* Perform on Site planning

* Identify job steps & sequences.

* Acts as the focal point for Material/Tool/Equipment issues during execution for jobs planned

* Responsible for updating Archive Plans

* Create and keep updated a Planning tracking system

* Create detailed Maintenance job packs

* Elaborate the work plans (operational requirements, PTW etc.).

* Submit permit requests and RAMS

* Receive the materials ordered and inspect for compliance.

* Identify, locate, and reserve materials held on inventory for the work planned.

* Seek opportunities to affect cost savings.

* Analyse the workload with the other members of the departmental team.

* Assign the work from the agreed/locked weekly schedule or shutdown plan.

* Elaborate and circulate detailed instructions for the performance of the work.

* Follow-up on the work on-site (observation).

* Adjust and update the scope of work if necessary.

* Maintain accuracy of CMMS data for the assigned equipment.

* Develop and maintain CMMS maintenance plans and BOM's for the assigned equipment.

Essential

* Technical background, time served (Instrumentation or Mechanical)

* HNC engineering

* Relevant planning skills.

* Ability to read and understand drawings.

* Good SHE awareness.

* Contractor management skills.

* Good communication skills.

* Enhanced IT skills (SAP, Microsoft project etc.).
