Interaction Engineering are working with a client looking for a Vehicle Electrician

Description of the Role:

Working under minimum supervision, the Multi-Skilled Vehicle Electrician is responsible for the assembly and fitting of all electrical assemblies and components to 3.5T-7.0T commercial vans or chassis cab/Unimog track vehicles or other vehicles as required within target hours.  The diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical build issues as they arise on 12V/24V vehicles.  They are expected to test the feasibility of new products, and identify and implement product/process/build quality improvements in conjunction with the management team.  They are responsible for organising and monitoring workflow through the fitting department. 

Responsible for:

  1. Assembly and fitting of all electrical components to 3.5T-7.0T commercial vans or chassis cab/Unimog truck vehicles or other vehicles as required within target hours and in compliance with  build quality standards and ISO standards.
  2. Diagnostic analysis and troubleshooting of electrical build issues as they arise. 
  3. Organising and monitoring workflow through the electrical department. build quality standards and ISO standards.
  4. The completion of all relevant documentation including check lists, inspection/test sheets in compliance with build quality standards and ISO standards.
  5. Ensuring that all work completed complies with relevant Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and policy.
  6. Testing the feasibility of new products, processes and procedures.
  7. Identifying and implementing product/process/build quality improvements in conjunction with the management team
  8. The completion of new product training when necessary.
  9. The training of team members in product knowledge and new product, process and procedure development.
  10. The completion of other tasks as reasonably requested by the Company, e.g. vehicle mechanical and hydraulic installations/panel wiring, welding, paint spraying.
