Our client, a prominent authority within the local government sector, is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer for a contract role.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing traffic management schemes to improve traffic flow and safety
Conducting traffic studies and analysis to identify problem areas and propose solutions
Collaborating with other departments and external stakeholders to achieve project goals
Managing and coordinating contractors and consultants involved in traffic projects
Preparing reports, plans, and technical documents for traffic projects and initiatives
Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines
Providing expert advice on traffic management issues
Engaging with the public and addressing any concerns related to traffic schemes

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in traffic engineering and management
Strong knowledge of traffic design principles and relevant software
Proficiency in conducting traffic analysis and interpreting data
Understanding of traffic-related legislation, policies, and guidelines
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a team
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
