The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a prestigious commercial site in the City of London. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a days-only shift role within a well-established building services provider offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and genuine career progression.

Working a 4 on 4 off days-only pattern, you'll be part of a dedicated on-site engineering team responsible for maintaining critical mechanical plant and ensuring the smooth operation of the building.

Key Responsibilities

*

Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)

*

Reactive maintenance and mechanical fault finding

*

Maintenance of:

*

HVAC systems

*

Pumps and valves

*

Boilers

*

Chillers

*

Air Handling Units (AHUs)

*

Fan Coil Units (FCUs)

*

Monitoring plant performance and ensuring maximum uptime

*

Supporting compliance tasks and statutory testing

*

Working alongside electrical engineers within a shift team

*

Escorting subcontractors and ensuring safe systems of work

What We're Looking For

*

NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)

*

Proven experience in commercial building services maintenance

*

Strong fault-finding skills on mechanical plant

*

Experience working within plant rooms and critical environments

*

Good understanding of health & safety procedures

*

Team player with strong communication skills
