Tempting Recruitment are working alongside our client, a Local Authority, who are looking to recruit an experienced Hostel Support Worker to join their team based in London  JOB DETAILS PAY RATE: £32,995 per annum  WORK TYPE: Permanent  WORK PATTERN: Full Time LOCATION: London  JOB SUMMARYHostel Support Worker to provide safe, responsive, and supportive services for residents in our 14-bed hostel. You will hold a small caseload, provide key-work support, and help maintain a calm, respectful environment. JOB DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

• Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support to residents with complex needs.
• Respond to safeguarding concerns, risk, and challenging behaviour appropriately.
• Provide practical and emotional support during day and evening shifts.
• Maintain accurate case notes, handovers, and records in line with GDPR.
• Support the day-to-day running of the hostel, including security, petty cash, and rent floats

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:

• Experience supporting people affected by homelessness, mental ill-health, or substance use.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment.
• Ability to build positive relationships with vulnerable adults.
• Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, including lone working
