An inclusive and supportive SEN primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is a full-time role supporting pupils with complex needs, including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and sensory processing disorders.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of complex needs

*

Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and other professionals

*

Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies

*

Support children with personal care and mobility where necessary

*

Create a nurturing, safe and engaging learning environment

Requirements:

*

Experience working with children with complex or additional needs (in school, care or community settings)

*

A calm, patient and empathetic approach

*

Excellent communication and team-working skills

*

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or similar) - desirable but not essential

*

A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
