Job Title: Senior Environmental Consultant

Location: Perth or Glasgow, Scotland (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £35,200 - £45,100

HSE Recruitment Network are recruiting for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join a forward-thinking, passionate consultancy specialising in the ecology, hydrology and environmental engineering.
 
The role will be focused on overseeing on-site environmental compliance and ecological protection during construction.

Main Responsibilities:

Prepare and contribute to construction phase environmental documentation
Ensure on-site compliance with Site-Specific Environmental Management Plans and related method statements, working closely with the client
Conduct site inspections for protected and priority species
Investigate, document, and report ecological incidents as they arise
Monitor and advise on pollution prevention strategies
Mentor and provide training to junior team members
Complete and occasionally review Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) logs and site reports
 
Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:

Two to five years' experience as an ecological/environmental consultant with construction site-based roles on a variety of different projects
An understanding of water environment regulations, relevant guidance and environmental legislation 
Higher Education Certificate, or Degree equivalent in an environmental subject area
CSCS card

Ideal Personality Traits: -

Excellent interpersonal skills, with gravitas and ability to influence and lead
Comprehensive knowledge of permit planning and compliance
Passionate about Environmental initiatives
