A pivotal role has arisen for an experienced Configuration professional to lead the application of Configuration Management processes across a prestigious product portfolio.
Job Title: Configuration Manager
Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

The opportunity:
You will lead Configuration Management activities within your designated programme, providing strategic direction and ensuring technical application of Configuration Management principles throughout the product lifecycle.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with business programmes and stakeholders, delivering governance and contributing to overall business success.
The ideal candidate must have:
• Extensive experience within Configuration Management disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management principles, processes and standards nationally and internationally
• Strong appreciation of engineering business networks and stakeholder relationships across the product lifecycle
• Highly developed communication skills with confidence to lead through technical challenges
• Outstanding networking skills with ability to build and maintain critical stakeholder relationships
• Proven ability to plan, lead and deliver technical Configuration Management activities
• Demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills at all levels without compromising relationships
The ideal candidate would ideally have:
• Technical understanding of complex weapon systems or other defence systems
• Operational knowledge of Def Stan 05-57, ISO10007 or EN9100
