 About Your team:

As QA Technician, you will work side-by-side with our high energy Production team to ensure we are manufacturing the highest quality composite assemblies for our Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV’s)

About the Job:

The QA Technician is responsible for the coordination and interaction of the Quality Assurance functions within the respective production facilities to produce the highest level of quality workmanship. Promote continuous improvement by coordinating accurate and timely assessments of activities affecting quality and customer satisfaction. Perform independent and objective monitoring of manufacturing and service processes. Identify nonconformance and systemic failure, recommend corrective / preventive action. 

Job Details:

Perform first article and incoming inspections to ensure compliance of procured parts and materials (dispositioning non-conforming product as necessary).

Perform final inspection of our completed composite assemblies for fit, finish, and consistency.

Audit the work of our Composite Technicians in a collaborative way. Work with management to develop manufacturing and training methods.

Establish quality requirements for suppliers with input from Purchasing and Engineering.

Manage and maintain the Company’s quality inspection and product release programs for incoming and in-process materials and components, processes and finished goods.

Investigate customer issues to root-cause.

Generate and maintain SOP’s.

Monitor and maintain equipment/tool performance.

Perform product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits to maintain and improve product quality.

About You:

3+ years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of composite fabrication: wet layup techniques, mold preparation/painting and trimming/polishing.

ISO 9001:2015 experience. Certified internal auditor preferred.

Working knowledge of SPC, Six-Sigma, and other statistical tools. Be able to collect and interpret data proactively, efficiently and logically.

Experience leading process and system improvements.

Experience writing Quality Policies and QA Procedures.

Demonstrable success setting and meeting quantitative Quality Compliance objectives.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment setting priorities, multi-tasking, and meeting strict deadlines.

Team player that works hard, has fun and supports her/his fellow team members.

A self-starter who can thrive in a high growth environment

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail 

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience writing Quality Policies and QA Procedures.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
