SEN Teacher (QTS) - Specialist Provision | Full-Time | September 2026 Start

The Opportunity
We are recruiting a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher with QTS to join a highly supportive specialist setting in Yeovil from September 2026.

This is a full-time role working with pupils aged 4-18 who have complex needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism (ASD), and physical disabilities.

This exceptional specialist provision is known for its nurturing and inclusive ethos, placing a strong emphasis on personalised learning and holistic development. The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, many of whom require high levels of care, structured support, and tailored teaching approaches.

Staff benefit from a collaborative environment, working closely with therapists and support teams to ensure every pupil can access learning and achieve meaningful progress.

The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils.

The role involves leading a classroom team, supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development, and implementing personalised learning plans.

You will also contribute to assessment, maintain a safe and structured environment, and work closely with families and external professionals to support each child's progress.

Salary
Teachers are paid to scale (MPS-UPS)

Requirements
Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have a minimum of 6 months' childcare or education experience, ideally supporting children with SEN.

Experience working with SLD, PMLD, or complex needs is desirable, and Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.

A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
