Financial Controller | Pontefract | £60,000 - £70,000

You're a Financial Controller. You want to own it.You've done the technical groundwork. You know how to prep a set of accounts, handle tax, and keep the numbers clean. You've either trained in practice or built your career in industry - doesn't matter. What matters is you know what you're doing, and you're ready to lead.This role isn't about strategy yet. It's about getting the foundations right. You'll take over the day-to-day finance operations from someone who's ready to step back and focus elsewhere. You'll manage a small team, mentor junior staff, and make sure the finance function runs like clockwork.You'll be the go-to for technical accounting. IFRS, tax, month-end, year-end. All yours. You'll have support, but you'll be trusted to get on with it. And once you've got the engine running smoothly, there's room to grow. Strategic input, business partnering, the works. But only when you're ready.The Package:

• Salary £60,000 - £70,000 per annum

What do you need?

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (qualified or nearly there)
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Experience in accounts prep, tax, and mentoring
