Fantastic opportunity for a Junior Product Manager to join an exciting company who specialise in Sports (Education) and Leisure Markets.

Duties:

* Serves as the expert for assigned markets/market segments and related product/services offerings for internal and external audiences.

* Works with internal and external sources to maintain accurate market and market segment profiles to drive decision-making; conducts structured customer interviews to develop a strategic plan and assess market needs (Blue Printing methodology).

* Environment analysis - develop a deep understanding of markets and their needs. Understand competitor landscape. Use environment understanding to drive brand growth.

* Develops effective offers and go to market plans for the Sports Education & Leisure Markets

* Conducts continuous market monitoring and impact analysis of needs, trends, compliance, and other key influencers; proactively recommends action where appropriate.

* Collaborates with Communication Team and provides complete structured briefs for the creation and development of market-facing campaigns.

* Product strategy - develop strategic plans for each category/range.

* Lifecycle management - manage products from inception to launch to performance peak to discontinuation to disposal (Introduction, Growth, Maturity, Decline).

* New product introduction - identify opportunities in the marketplace which warrant the addition of new products and ranges into our portfolio, and work with Purchasing to bring in those products and ranges.

* Pricing - set pricing strategies and set and manage pricing for the product portfolio.

* Promotion - create core content and collaborate with Marketing Communications to develop rich, engaging, sales-driving listings, collateral, and campaigns.

* Data - create and maintain structures and standards for all product data and product assets. Maintain a high level of product data quality and completeness.

* Environment analysis

Required:

* 2 years experience in product/category management

* Experience in bottom-line growth through range development

* Educated to degree level or equivalent

* High level of commercial aptitude

* Strong interpersonal skills and can communicate to all levels

* Good organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
