The Low Observability team within this major defence company is renowned for developing groundbreaking capabilities in Stealth, using both conventional and novel techniques. We're looking for a dynamic individual to join our R&D environment and contribute to the next big breakthrough.

💼 Position: Low Observability Research Technologist
💰 Salary: around £51,000 (depending on experience)
📍 Location: Hybrid working model (4 days per week on-site due to workload classification)
🔒 Security Clearance: British Citizen required for security clearance

We seek a technically skilled individual with a background in Electromagnetics, Metamaterials, RF modelling, and/or platform survivability. This role involves a variety of tasks, including:

Conducting electromagnetic or particle propagation modelling
Producing research studies on theories or concepts
Defining test campaign validation approaches
Conducting hands-on measurement/experimentation
Coordinating with various business areas to manufacture test articlesWhat We're Looking For:

Educational Background: Degree in physical sciences, electronics, communications engineering, or similar
Experience: Prior experience in RF design, radar familiarity, Metamaterial design/manufacture, or antenna design is ideal
Technical Skills: Familiarity with simulation tools like CST MWS, COMSOL, FEKO
Practical Skills: Hands-on laboratory skills are a bonus
Knowledge: Understanding of missile Survivability, Low Observability, and RCS Design
Project Management: Proven delivery of technical work packages and projects, both individually and as part of a team
