Are you a Youth Support Worker that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Do you thrive in high-energy environments where no two days are the same? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We are seeking a Youth Support Worker to join a fantastic all-boys SEMH secondary school in Wandsworth. This school supports students aged 11-16 who require targeted intervention to succeed both academically and socially. The role is incredibly rewarding, ideal for someone with experience in behaviour support, mentoring, or youth work.

Key Responsibilities - Youth Support Worker

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs, ASD, ADHD and challenging behaviour

* Assist students in regulating their emotions using de-escalation and restorative strategies

* Build trusting, professional relationships that encourage students to re-engage in their education

* Support teaching staff in and out of the classroom, helping create a safe and structured environment

* Contribute to pastoral care, reintegration plans and wider school life

* Liaise with therapists, SENCOs, and families to ensure the right support is in place

Requirements - Youth Support Worker

* At least 1 year of experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour (SEMH, youth offending, mentoring, PRU, or care background desirable)

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, empathetic approach

* Ability to remain resilient and professional under pressure

* Team player who can work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting

* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
