GSL Education are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day cover across SEND schools. This is the perfect stepping stone into a rewarding career in teaching, psychology, or youth work.

In this Teaching Assistant role, you will support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. Working closely under the guidance of experienced teachers and support staff, you will provide tailored assistance to promote each child's academic, social, and emotional development. Your contribution will help create a safe, nurturing learning environment where every pupil is empowered to thrive and succeed.

Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant:

Provide 1:1 support to a child with high needs, including sensory needs, non-verbal communication, and personal care.
Assist in achieving learning and development targets for the child.
Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals to create an inclusive, supportive environment.
Foster an environment that promotes the child's independence and engagement in learning.
Implement personalised strategies for communication, behaviour management, and sensory support.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant role:

Passionate about working inclusively with children with additional needs.
Experience supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and non-verbal communication.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable providing personal care and supporting sensory needs.
Previous experience working in a similar setting is an advantage.
