The Role

A fully remote Payroll Manager position managing a portfolio of high-growth clients within a modern, tech-driven accountancy environment.

You'll take full ownership of payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong client relationships, while contributing to system improvements and automation.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients

* Act as the main contact for payroll, pensions, and benefits queries

* Process payroll including statutory payments, RTI submissions, and reconciliations

* Manage auto-enrolment, pensions, and P11D compliance

* Liaise with HMRC to resolve payroll queries

* Ensure payroll data aligns with finance systems and reporting

* Monitor payroll billing and client growth

* Support system improvements and payroll technology optimisation

The Ideal Candidate

* 5+ years UK payroll experience (bureau or practice preferred)

* Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, pensions, and benefits

* Experience managing multiple client payrolls independently

* Proficient with BrightPay (highly desirable)

* Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset

* Comfortable working fully remotely and managing priorities independently
