We are working with a cutting-edge precision engineering company that supplies into automotive, motorsport, and high-performance sectors. They are seeking a dynamic Senior Quality Manager to lead their quality function and help drive continuous improvement across their operation.

🔧 The Role

In this hands-on leadership role, you will take full ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and championing a proactive, data-driven approach to quality and risk management. You will oversee all quality operations, including FAIRs, ISIRs, PPAP, and supplier quality, while leading and mentoring a small but skilled team of quality professionals.

You will be a key voice at the strategic level, reporting into the senior leadership team on quality trends, risks, and improvement initiatives.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the company's end-to-end QMS to the highest standards

*

Oversee inspection activities and manage quality documentation (PPAP, FAIR, ISIR)

*

Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and drive CAPA across the business

*

Coordinate and host internal and external audits

*

Ensure calibration and use of inspection tools including CMMs

*

Work closely with Engineering, Production and Supply Chain to drive DFM, reduce scrap, and improve overall quality

*

Promote a strong quality culture and support continuous improvement across all functions

🎯 What We're Looking For

*

Proven experience in a Senior Quality Manager, Quality Leader, or Quality Systems Manager role

*

Background in precision engineering, CNC machining, or similar manufacturing environments

*

Expertise with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949

*

Strong leadership skills, including coaching and team development

*

Hands-on experience with inspection, supplier quality, PPAP/FAIR processes

*

Proficient in quality tools: SPC, 8D, CAPA, and familiarity with Minitab or similar

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
