A growing engineering company in Halstead, Essex are recruiting for a Welder / Fabricator.

This is a temporary - permanent position which is paying between £13.50 - £15 per hour (depending on experience).

This engineering company who design and manufacture systems and have been established for over 50 years'.

Duties:

As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be doing MIG & TIG welding
TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium
Working from technical drawings to engineering and quality standards
Following and improving on processes to improve productivity within manufacturing
Quality checking once the welds are completed
Reporting into the Team Leader daily
Welding between 1mm - 6mm
Fabrication work required when needed
Implementing and refining jigs and fixtures to ensure consistent results and increased efficiency
Candidate requirements:

Ability to read from technical drawings
Working knowledge of MIG welding in aluminium and stainless steel would be advantageous
NVQ, Diploma or apprenticeship withing welding/fabrication or similar

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays (37.5 hour week)
