Due to unprecedent growth at the start of the academic year, we are hiring for a Recruitment Consultant starting ASAP or in January 2021. The incoming Recruitment Consultant will work within a rapidly expanding team and one of the biggest teams in our network of 80+ branches, this is a challenging but extremely rewarding opportunity to forge a career with the market leader in Education recruitment.

Whether you have prior experience in the industry or would join as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, our Manchester location has a strong reputation throughout the company and is thriving. The start date is immediate or from January after the Christmas break, you will be working specifically within our south Manchester Secondary team, working with high schools and colleges south of Manchester city centre. This is a full time and permanent position; you will be working in a high performing and highly supportive office and team.

At the moment we are at home due to the English lockdown but after that we will look to return to a part time home/office arrangement where usually 2-3 days are spent in the office. All equipment to enable working from home is provided by Teaching Personnel. We maintain COVID safe standards in all of our offices ensuring we stick to all health and safety guidelines at all times. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant at Teaching Personnel, you are the vital link between our client schools and Educators. You will join a thriving team covering a specialist sector (secondary schools 11-18) and will be responsible for building your pool of support and teaching staff, plus client school base across a local area.

You will:

  • Make a high volume of sales and business development calls to secondary schools across your local area
  • Build and develop your own candidate database by sourcing and recruiting quality teachers and support staff and matching them to temporary and permanent job placements
  • Conduct face-to-face and virtual client meetings to build relationships with key decision makers in schools in order to successfully service your client schools
  • Work to KPIs and targets in line with your branch and career ladder
  • Partake in the companies unique learning and development programme to enhance your recruitment knowledge and understanding of the job
  • Support your team and achieve team targets as well as individual accolades

About You

The ideal applicant will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and an outgoing personality, tenacity and urgency are extremely important in a fast-paced environment like Education. They will also be resilient and have a passion for education. Prior sales experience and knowledge of the education sector would also be beneficial to the role.
