Alecto Recruitment is partnering with an established figure within the Anaerobic Digestion sector who are building a portfolio of Anaerobic Digestion facilities. My client is looking for an operator to cover a fixed-term contract, helping with day-to-day operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist with daily operations of the Anaerobic Digestion plant, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
Carry out process monitoring, including daily sampling and analysis (DM, FOS/TAC, Gas Quality).
Operate and monitor the plant through the SCADA system, ensuring optimum running conditions.
Run and maintain the straw processing line.
Perform routine visual inspections and basic fault-finding on plant equipment.
Undertake first-line maintenance tasks, such as isolating and replacing pumps.
Feed and manage feedstock deliveries into hoppers and plant systems.
Operate on-site machinery, including telehandlers, 360 excavators, and other mobile plant.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.
Provide out-of-hours alarm response and call-out cover on a rota basis.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support positive site culture.

Skills & Qualifications

Engineering qualification preferred (mechanical, electrical, or process).
Valid telehandler and/or 360 excavator licence, with the ability to operate mobile plant confidently.
WAMITAB, NEBOSH, or IOSH qualifications are desirable.
Previous experience as an operator within a process, industrial, or energy environment.

Knowledge & Experience

Experience within an Anaerobic Digestion facility is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of work, safety, and compliance.
Takes full ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion.
