PRINCIPAL / SENIOR HIGHWAYS DESIGN ENGINEER - VARIOUS - PERMANENT - £40,000 - £60,000

Ceto Talent are working with leading consultancy firm who specialises in transport planning, engineering and environmental advice. We are currently supporting them with the recruitment of either a Principal or Senior Highways Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis with options of offices across the UK to be based from.

What experience and skills are we looking for?

* You will be a degree educated engineer with your degree in civil engineering or related study

* You will have significant experience of working as a Highway Design Engineer and will have experience of the following:

* Technical proficiency in using AutoCAD, Microdrainage, Flow and Civil3D

* Experience of writing reports to accompany planning applications for things such as Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy

* Stakeholder experience with clients and 3rd parties, as well as working with internal teams to deliver on projects

* Creation of fee proposals for design and flood risk assessments.

* Have undertaken site visits to see first hand design or developments

* Collaborative working with transport planners and environmental teams to help produce comprehensive plans for clients

About the role and company:

Our client is a leading consultancy who specialises in Transport Planning, Transport Highways Design and Environmental Assessment. This position is a key role for them, as the design and development of plans is fundamental to what they do and will see you working in conjunction with colleagues in Transport Planning and Environmental Assessment to deliver comprehensive planning proposals for their client that will help them deliver for their planned work. You will be at times, client facing and should you be electing for the Principal level role, will take on responsibility for technical leadership within the engineering team.

Locations and more job detail:

This position can be based in any of the following areas and will be down to your own preferred location. Locations are London, North Yorkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey or South Gloucestershire. This is offered as a full-time position. The role will offer hybrid working, after an initial period of settling in with the team and the company and this is typically 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home.

Salary for this position is within a guide range of £40,000 - £60,000 depending on role you wish to be considered for and experience. This is open to negotiation and we will consider exceeding this guided salary for the right person.
