Service Manager – Linden House, Haringey &

£30,000 per annum plus an additional £2000 p/a on completion of PBS qualification + benefits.

Avenues is a specialist provider of social care, supporting people with complex needs to enjoy life.

We have a fantastic, brand new opportunity for a Service Manager to join our new service, Linden House based in Haringey, North London.

Linden House is a new 4 person supported living service where we will be supporting people who are moving out of long term hospital and ATU stays into a more independent living environment.

We will be supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, high levels of behaviours that challenge and mental health. This is an exciting time to join as you will be involved in the development of the staff team and the opening of a service in a growing area for Avenues Group.

The role;
To work in partnership with the Senior Operations Manager, Registered Manager and other key stakeholders in order to deliver safe, high quality services for service users.
To undertake the recruitment, development and management of staff.
To participate in the monitoring/management of service budgets to ensure a high standard of physical, social and emotional support is provided.
To act as a practice leader, role modelling Person Centred Active Support approaches and PBS approaches to staff and others.
To be responsible for the management of the service in order to meet the needs and aspirations of people supported, service commissioners and regulatory authorities.
Duties may include providing personal care and administration of medication.
To participate in the On call Rota.

About you;
Experience of supporting people with mental health needs, whose behaviours are challenging and with complex needs
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience managing staff and services within social care
Be willing to hold a CQC registration
Ideally have experience of project management/opening of services
Ability to manage complex teams
Ability to maintain good working relationships with stakeholders of people supported
Be calm with working in an environment with pets (or not be allergic to)
Share Avenues values of Respect, Excellence, Integrity and Pride
PBS qualification desirable or be willing to work towards
Ideally Full UK manual Driving licence and access to own car
Ability to work some shifts and work some weekends to provide management cover
