To foster in the UK, you must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be 21 years of age or over
- Have a spare, dedicated bedroom in your home
- Have experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults (professionally or personally)
- Be a British citizen or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK
Important - Visa Status

Foster Wales Flintshire is looking for dedicated individuals near Haslingden and Rossendale to become foster carers for children who are already settled in their schools and communities-but who need the right home to stay on track.
If you've worked in nurseries, pre-schools, reception classrooms, or family support settings, your understanding of early development, emotional regulation, and routine makes you an ideal fit.
About the RoleThis role involves caring for children and young people who are moving on from residential or high-support settings and beginning to thrive in school and the community.
You'll offer them a full-time, nurturing home, becoming their primary carer. With full support and ongoing training, you'll help them build on their progress, while creating a warm and stable family life.
We're Looking For Individuals or Couples Who:Have professional experience in early years care, education, or development
Can offer a full-time, supportive home environment
Have a spare bedroom
Hold a full UK driving licence
Are open to therapeutic training and reflective practice
Ideally don't have children under 16 at home (though each application is reviewed individually)
What You'll ReceiveFinancial Package:
£50,000 annual support package
Weekly fostering allowance up to £258.79 (approx. £13,453 per year)
Additional annual allowances up to £1,035 (for birthdays, holidays and Christmas)
