Are you an experienced Estimator with a working knowledge of the engineering sector?

We're working with a well-established precision engineering company in the LE8 area that is experiencing going growth, so now they're looking for a mechanically minded Estimator who can confidently manage project costings, liaise with suppliers and support the engineering team with commercially sound decisions.

In short you will be:

• Preparing accurate cost estimates for complex projects, materials, labour and timelines.
• Assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Interpreting technical drawings and work with engineers.
• Sourcing component pricing and manage cost databases.
• Ensuring all estimations match customer expectations and budgets.

What we need from you:

• A proven background in estimating within engineering or industrial manufacturing
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to break down technical requirements
• Familiarity with production processes, supply chains and technical specs.
• The confidence to take ownership of estimating responsibilities from day one.
