A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR / INSIDE SALES

As a Contract Administrator / Inside Sales, you are responsible for all communication with our customers and the high level of customer service that they have come to expect. You act as a liaison between our customers and internal departments. You develop quotes for our customers, monitor on-going contracts with the assembly and purchasing departments to ensure on-time delivery, and manage all contractual revision changes between customers and our engineering team.

Everyone has come to rely on your good estimating skills. You carefully read and interpret engineering drawings and military specifications. Using current and historical data, you gather, evaluate, and analyze data. Based on your careful research and analysis, you negotiate pricing and terms of conditions with customers. To ensure accuracy, you manage and coordinate the work of data-entry personnel. You write and develop multi-year, multi-million-dollar proposals for our customers!

You monitor on-going contracts to ensure conformance with the terms and conditions, on-time payments, and completion of all requirements. When engineering changes are needed, you calculate and submit pricing. You are a stickler for ensuring that requests are acted upon quickly and orders are processed promptly and accurately. You enjoy traveling to meet with customers in order to negotiate future and existing contracts. You also take your responsibility to act as InterConnect's representative at supplier conferences seriously.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR / INSIDE SALES

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Above-average computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to write large detailed proposals
  • Above-average math skills
  • Strong customer service skills

WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time estimating and contract administration position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:15 pm.
