About the Role
Cover People are seeking a confident and capable Year 7 English Tutor to support students working below age-related expectations in the Heaton Chapel / Stockport area. This is an excellent opportunity for an English specialist experienced in intervention and SEND support, looking to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment.

Dates: Immediate start - up to two terms
Days: Full-time, 5 days per week
Focus: Supporting students with English learning needs, including those with SEND or additional learning needs

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, differentiated English tuition to Year 7 students

*

Implement effective intervention strategies to support progress

*

Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback

*

Collaborate with staff to support learning needs

*

Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Essential Criteria

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

*

Experience teaching English to KS3 students

*

Familiarity with KS2-KS3 curriculum and intervention strategies

*

Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

*

Right to work in the UK
