Finance Business Partner | PE | Commercial Contracts | M&A

Overview:

  • We recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for a highly acquisitive £70m Private Equity (PE) backed organisation operating under a long-term commercial contracts business model.
  • Our client is at a very exciting point of their evolution; they are entering a scale up phase and looking to double in size. To achieve this, their focus with be on acquisitions (M&A), whilst driving revenue across both existing and new customers.
  • To enable the business to exceed their growth targets, they have created a new Finance Business Partner role reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance. Your focus will be in supporting the organisation with its ambitions to drive growth and maximise revenue across all business lines in a sophisticated data driven manner.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver and drive value across all client contracts.
  • Manage a selection of high-profile commercial contracts, providing support and challenge across these contracts as required.
  • Implement contract performance reporting to ensure that all commercial obligations are met.
  • Drive margin and profitability, track and report on KPI’s in line with contract responsibilities, reforecasting business performance where necessary.
  • Provide support on both bids and pricing activity.
  • Work with key stakeholders to prepare and review budgets and deliver rolling forecasts.
  • Provide accurate cash flow reporting.
  • Establish and build effective working relationships with clients.
  • Support the Head of Commercial Finance, CFO and CEO on all M&A activity.

Your profile:

  • A qualified Accountant with a commercially orientated mindset. You must be able to demonstrate strong finance business partnering experience from a commercial contracts-based environment. It would be ideal if at least some of that experience has been gained in a PE / PE backed environment, but not essential.
  • Superb stakeholder management skills, a relationship builder, able to negotiate effectively and communicate with credibility.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong financial planning and analysis skill set – budgeting, forecasting etc.
  • Hungry, ambitious and driven. Self-motivated.

Fully remote with occasional (once per month) travel to one of their many offices across the UK.
