Then this position as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary within a Bexley-based Primary School is perfect for you! You will be working within a knowledgeable network of Teachers and SLT while supporting pupils through their academic journey.

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary, you will plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities in 1:1 and group sessions to pupils of varying academic abilities targeting areas of weakness. While delivering these sessions you will assess and report on their progress to the Teachers to devise action points to ensure continuous progression. At times you may also be required to lead individual classes in place of the lead teacher.

This role can also involve working with SEN (ASD, ADHD etc) and SEMH (Anxiety, Depression etc) pupils, ensuring that the curriculum is accessible to their individual needs and breaking down the barriers to learning in the process.

• Working alongside the class teachers to deliver lessons (Preparing materials etc)
• Delivering learning activities to pupils in 1:1 and group settings
• May involve supporting pupils of varying SEN & SEMH needs (ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Trauma etc)
• Can involve leading classes at times in place of teachers
• ASAP Start - Full-time position
• £120 - £140 per day
• Based within the borough of Bexley

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare, Health & Social Care or Early Years
• Knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Experience working with children and young people of varying needs (SEN, SEMH etc)
• Be a patient, caring and approachable individual
• Be an active team player who works well in a wider team
