Classroom Mentor

Do you have experience supporting young people and want to make a real difference in their lives?

We're working with a mainstream secondary school in the L8 Area of Liverpool that is looking to recruit a Classroom Mentor to support a Year 7 child in a small class .

The school is seeking someone who has a passion for being a role model and want to help develop the confidence and learning for their student . The student need support with the learning and development . You will be working alongside another two Classroom Mentors and Teacher in the classroom

This role is ideal for individuals with backgrounds in working in education , youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, social care or similar who are confident in building positive relationships and encouraging change.

What You'll Be Doing:

* As the Classroom Mentor providing 1:1 and small group support within the classroom
* Supporting students to engage with learning and improve social skills
* Encouraging positive choices and building emotional resilience
* Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and therapists to meet individual needs
* Helping create a safe, consistent, and supportive school environment

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience working with children or young adults
* Calm, empathetic, and resilient under pressure
* Confident in managing challenging behaviour and maintaining boundaries
* A positive role model who inspires and motivates young people
* A child-only Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
