Salary: £12.00 - £18.00 per hour, Negotiable, OTE

Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council are looking for a Business Support Officer on a temporary basis.

The role is suitable for individuals that can work a full 37-hour week, although part time candidates may also be considered.Whilst the initial training period is likely to be provided within the office there would then be the possibility of a combination of Home and Office working pattern introduced.

All training will be provided within any ongoing Covid 19 constraints.Parking is currently free during the Covid 19 restrictions, but daily charging is to be introduced shortly.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include validating and publicising planning applications received by the Council; creating new records in the computerised database, recording and filing of letters received as a result of publicity, preparation and despatch of decision notices; co-ordinating information for planning appeals.

o Ability to read, understand and calculate from scale drawingso Accuracy and attention to detailo IT skills to include Word & Excelo Flexibility and an ability to meet performance targetso Excellent communication and organisational skillso Relevant experience of office work to include dealing with applicants and professionals on a regular basiso A minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include Maths and Englishimportant Information
