Project Manager - Infrastructure Division (Civils & Utilities) - Central Scotland

We are currently supporting a well-established and growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor with the appointment of an experienced Project Manager to join their Infrastructure Division, which is experiencing significant growth following continued success on Scottish Power frameworks.

Operating as part of a wider group with a turnover of £170m, the Infrastructure Division currently delivers £35m of work annually across a range of civil and utility projects throughout the Central Belt of Scotland. Due to a strong order book and new opportunities arising from Lot 1 of the latest Scottish Power framework, the division is targeting growth to £80m within the next 4-5 years. Project values typically range between £1-£3 million, although larger design and build schemes are set to reach £20-£30 million.

The organisation follows a self-delivery model, with core trades managed in-house and selected specialist works subcontracted as required. With a strong focus on regional delivery, the business aims to keep its teams working within one hour of home wherever possible.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the planning and delivery of multiple civil infrastructure schemes within the energy/utilities sector, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining positive client relationships and supporting operational teams on site.

The ideal candidate will possess:

*

A minimum of 5-10 years' experience in project management within civil engineering, infrastructure, or utilities

*

A solid understanding of NEC contracts and demonstrable commercial awareness

*

Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams and subcontractors

*

Strong stakeholder management skills, ideally with prior exposure to utility providers or DNOs

*

Experience with Scottish Power frameworks is highly desirable but not essential

Qualifications required:

*

Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline

*

Professional certifications such as SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid at Work

*

Additional training in NEC contract management, CDM Regulations, or APM/Prince2 would be advantageous

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join a forward-thinking and ambitious infrastructure team, with clear opportunities for long-term progression as the business continues to expand.

A competitive salary is on offer, alongside a car allowance or electric/hybrid vehicle, enhanced pension contributions, and ongoing professional development
