Counterbalance Forklift Drivers – Ad-Hoc Shifts

Location: Hounslow

Salary: £13 per hour – Weekly Pay!

Shift Patterns: Day & Night shifts available, Monday–Sunday

We are seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to support operations within a busy freight warehouse. If you’re a reliable, safety-conscious professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, we want to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operations: Operate the counterbalance forklift to move palletised freight safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse, including transport between staging areas, loading bays and designated storage locations.

• Loading & Unloading Freight: Load and unload freight from vehicles and containers, ensuring goods are handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain operational standards.

• Inventory Control: Accurately place, scan and book freight into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), supporting stock accuracy and participating in regular stock counts and audits.

• Order Preparation: Pick and prepare freight for shipment in line with customer specifications and operational deadlines, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.

• Warehouse Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free working environment. Assist with the structured storage of goods to maximise space and improve workflow efficiency.

• Safety & Compliance: Follow all company health & safety procedures, conduct pre-operation equipment checks, and report any defects or safety concerns promptly in line with site regulations.

• Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse operatives, freight handlers and logistics coordinators to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Forklift Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts within a warehouse, freight or logistics environment.

• Valid Certifications: A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence is essential. Reach truck experience is advantageous.

• DBS Check: Ability to provide a clean DBS and a full 5-year checkable work history.

• Freight Handling: Experience handling palletised freight or working within logistics is desirable.

• Tech Savvy: Basic computer skills for scanning, data entry and inventory tracking.
